5-DAY INTENSIVE COURSE

 Leadership & Business

Through the program, and the questions I was asked, I was reinvigorated to pursue a vision that had been percolating in abstract ways over the years.”

—Halo P., Leadership & Business ‘21

This course is for anyone working in hospitality who wants to develop effective leadership practices and sound financial habits. It will give you a greater understanding of your own leadership style; allow you to make more confident choices about how you communicate and give feedback; and speed your path to creating a workplace environment where others can thrive.

A career in hospitality fosters creativity and deep training in a craft. Historically, however, little focus has been placed on training these craftspeople to lead others or create financial value. This program was developed to encourage a new paradigm in which people and profit sit alongside passion and craft.

We built the course specifically to deliver knowledge that is useful in kitchens and dining rooms of any level; for bartenders, servers, cooks, and baristas who are new managers; and especially for those who aspire to open their own hospitality businesses in the future.

This five-day intensive gives you the hands-on training to establish both the everyday practices and the long-term vision that a successful business requires. You’ll return to your work with:

  • New skills to lead teams, create immediate changes to improve your workplace, and set long-term goals for your organization.
  • Strategies for adapting to new challenges and an innovation mindset toward future success.
  • A deeper grasp of accounting and the capacity to maintain a rock-solid financial foundation for your business.
  • Access to MAD Academy’s alumni network, a community of ambitious change makers from across the globe.
